How we provide 501(c)(3) application completion services?

Susan Woods (the Consultant) completes all the steps the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) requires to help her clients across the United States earn 501(c)(3) status.

Since 2010, Susan completed over 100 nonprofit application packets for clients across the United States. She has a 100% approval rating from the Internal Revenue Service which means all of her clients receive the IRS Determination (Approval) Letter designating them as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Steps and tasks Susan uses to complete 501(c)(3) application packets

STEP TASKS/ACTIVITIES
1 Provide phone consultations.
Susan provides mandatory phone consultations to learn about the potential client’s nonprofit vision and program services.
2 Provide contractual agreement.
Susan sends a contractual agreement to the client after they decide to hire her to complete their 501(c)(3) application.
 
The contractual agreement outlines all of the tasks Susan completes for her clients, the benefits, refund policy, and other pertinent information. It also includes a PayPal link to process the payment which serves as a confirmation of understanding of the terms and conditions.
3 Confirm payment receipt.
Susan confirms the payment receipt from the client
4 Send Timeline.
Susan sends the application completion Timeline to allow the client to track progress over the 20-business-day completion period.
5 Acquire EIN.
Susan acquires the Employer Identification Number (EIN) from the IRS for the client’s application packet.
6 Write Conflict of Interest Policy.
Susan writes the Conflict of Interest Policy which confirms that the nonprofit organization will provide community services and will not provide unreasonable benefits to the nonprofit team.
7 Write Bylaws.
Susan writes the Bylaws which govern the operations of the nonprofit organization.
8 Write the Narrative Description of Activities.
Susan writes the Narrative Description of Activities which explains the programs and services the nonprofit organization will offer, how it will offer them, where it will offer them, and when it will offer them.
9 Write the Financial Data Report.
Susan writes the Financial Data Report which includes the projected gross revenues and required expenses required to implement the programs and services described in the Narrative.
10 Write Fundraising Activities.
Susan writes the Fundraising Activities to list the types of revenue generation strategies the nonprofit organization will use to offer programs and services.
11 File Articles of Incorporation.
Susan completes the application to file the Articles of Incorporation with the Secretary of State Office.
12 Complete Form 1023: Application for Recognition of Exemption.  
Susan completes the new electronic long version of the “Form 1023: Application for Recognition of Exemption” which is the official application required to earn 501(c)(3) status.
13 Complete three drafts of applicable documents.
Susan completes three drafts of the documents in steps 6-12 (when required) at no additional cost.
14 Upload the application packet to the client’s pay.gov account.
Susan organizes and uploads the Form 1023 application and all documents to the pay.gov account on behalf of the client.
15 Process the IRS application processing fee.
Susan sends the client an e-mail notification which includes the steps for them to process the IRS application processing fee.
16 Provide ongoing support.
Susan provides ongoing support for the client until they receive the IRS Determination Letter.

For example, if the IRS Exemption Specialist assigned to process the application packet has questions about the application, Susan will answer the questions on behalf of the client. She will also create or revise documents if needed.
